The Oakland Mills Local Leadership Team (OMLLT) would like to invite you to participate in the 6th Annual Job and Career Fair on Friday, January 19, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. This event will be held at Oakland Mills High School, (OMHS) located at 9410 Kilimanjaro Road, Columbia, MD 21045. The Job & Career Fair will host workshops and present differing careers and employment opportunities to youth and young adults ages 14 - 24 years old. This is the 5th year that the OMLLT has collaborated with OMHS to help its students prepare for college, work and life.

The mission of the Oakland Mills Local Leadership Team is to mobilize residents of Oakland Mills Village to build an equitable and cohesive community that helps children, youth and families thrive.

In the 2018 community survey, Oakland Mills youth expressed the need to access more information on career pathways and opportunities for year-round and summer jobs. In response, the OMLLT, has partnered with The Howard County Department of Community Resources and Services, Howard County Workforce Development, and The Jacaranda Center for Family and Youth Development, Inc., to host the Annual OMLLT Job and Career Fair. We hope you will partner with us to provide employment, internship and apprenticeship opportunities for the participants.
